This is what breaks, every time.
Hosts can’t hold a million hypotheses. Participants can’t find the right people by scanning a name badge. Both sides are stuck with the same impossible math.
The two who should meet are ten feet apart all night.
One just solved the problem the other is still stuck on. Neither knows. They’re in different clusters, talking to people they already know. Both leave, both tell you it was a great event, and the meeting that mattered most didn’t happen.
